UK Perfect Replica Cartier Privé Tank à Guichets Watches
The oohs and aahs were not subtle at Watches & Wonders 2025 when it was clear what new model would join the Cartier Privé collection. That was the Cartier Privé Tank à Guichets watch, reviving a 1928 design from the maison’s archives much to the excitement of vintage watch heads everywhere. Cartier made a few others in the 1930s, with limited editions appearing again in the 1990s and mid-2000s. Yet, among UK best replica Cartier watches, particularly within all the Tank iterations made over the last century, the Tank à Guichets stands as one of the rarest and thus, sought-after models — often a grail for the Cartier collecting clan. We went hands-on with a pair of the new-for-2025 Tank à Guichets watches (one in yellow gold and the other in platinum) to see if these fresh revivals live up to the hype of their ancestors.

Guichet is French for ticket window or counter, which is an apt way to describe the pair of apertures that display the time of these Tank high quality copy watches. Rather than a traditional time display with hands pointing to numbers, what we get here is a small rectangular window for the jump hours and a smiled-shaped dragging minutes aperture, complete with an arrow indicator. These digital displays were a radical way to tell the time a hundred years ago and still remain uncommon today.
This being Swiss made fake Cartier Tank watches, these windows, sit within the customary rectangular-shaped case, which in this instance, measures 37.6mm west-to-east, 24.8mm north-to-south, and a mere 6mm thick. There are the Tank-defining brancards on the sides that extend into lugs, which are quite angled in these new editions. It wears like a slim slab of precious metal — because it is. While some Tank à Guichets featured the classic Cartier cabochon crown at 3 o’clock, these new Privé editions stick to the original 1928 formula with an ultra-slender crown at 12 o’clock.

That case is almost entirely vertically brushed save for the polished hour and minute frames and case edges. So, between the thin slab silhouette of the case, the impeccable finishing of said case, and cut-outs on the flat top that tell the time “digitally,” aesthetically this is no doubt a visually impactful design. The stark style is appealing, especially among a sea of round UK cheap super clone watches with traditional analog hand-style displays.
That’s the good news. Unfortunately, legibility is an issue here. The windows are very small and reading the time can, depending on how old and/or weak your eyes are (check and check for me), be quite the challenge, This is especially true of the green numerals on the yellow gold version; that particular shade of green on the grained “golden-finished” white disk against the yellow gold case is not the most reader-friendly combo. The platinum AAA fake watches we had in our hands was the limited-edition version with slanted apertures and the hour turned 90 degrees; while the burgundy numerals were darker and therefore, more legible, the unorthodox placement of the windows and hour alignment presented other obstacles to readability.

Inside the case and hidden by the solid caseback is the Cartier 9755 MC manual-winding movement. Cartier notes that the online replica watches have no water resistance. The blink-and-you’ll-miss-it crown at 12 o’clock does the job of streamlining the look of the watch but it is a bit awkward to use. If your fingers can grip and pull it out, you’ll need to turn it from behind the case to adjust the time.
Back to the good; the regular production shop copy Cartier Tank à Guichets watches are paired with alligator straps that match the numerals. The green shade may not have worked particularly well in the hour and minute displays but in strap form, it looks fabulous with the yellow gold case. The limited edition model is fitted with a black one, which is always a sharp match for platinum.
If you like the look of previous Tank à Guichets watches (I do), then you’ll definitely like these too. These top replica Cartier watches are killer in terms of style. It’s a fun approach to the overall Tank design language, and will no doubt have lists of enthusiasts trying to add one to their collection given the Guichet cachet. However, do not mistake these for practical watches; the time isn’t the easiest to read, they have zero water resistance, the crown is tricky, and the flat top will no doubt be a scratch magnet. To proudly wear to impress or to stow away safely in your precious collection to admire whenever you want? Most certainly. As a one-and-done watch? Not likely — but that’s not the point of these pieces. As Privé models, the Tank à Guichets watches are, as expected, on the pricier side of things.
